Reasons to Copy iPod to iTunes

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

You have all of your music on your iPod. You have your playlists set up and you are enjoying listening to your favorite songs wherever you may go. That is the great thing about a portable media player like an iPod. In fact, on some iPod models, you can add thousands of songs to the player. Therefore, what more could you want?

There are many reasons why you may want to copy iPod to iTunes, but you may not have thought of them all. Consider these three reasons why you would want to make use of software and copy your files over.

1. Keep a library and be able to control which files, songs and videos you add to your iPod. Some people do not want to put their whole music library on the player since they would not be able to find just the right songs. If you watch videos on your iPod, then you would want to be able to take away watched ones and add new ones when you want. This is a very good reason to be able to copy your files over to your iTunes account.

2. Backup your device in case something bad was to happen. You must face it; if you carry your iPod with you all the time, there is always a chance something bad could happen. You could accidentally leave it at a restaurant. Someone could steal it when you are not looking. You could accidentally drop it in the swimming pool. There are plenty of things that could happen, and if you back up your files, you will at least not have to worry about losing your music.

3. Share your files with your friends. By being able to copy your iPod files to iTunes, you will be able to do this with the program on any computer. This way, if you want to share files with friends or just put the music on a second computer, you can do this.

As you can see, there are very good reasons to be able to copy your iPod files over to your iTunes account.
