Dear Members of RCSW,

In case you haven't noticed, our club bulletin - in an effort to continually improve - has undergone a face lift with a new bulletin team in place. Our sincere apologies for the little delay in the continuity of our newsletter. The new issues of WestNews will be brought to you in - hopefully - newer reader-friendly format. We would like to place on record, our sincere thanks for your support in the previous years and we certainly hope to be more informative, down to earth and news worthy. Contributions are most welcome and if you have an opinion, feedback or just something of interest to share with members, please don't hesitate to email the editor. In the mean time, pleasant reading !!!

CHRISTMAS CD "All Wrapped Up"  officially launched at Eden Hall

The official launch of "The Christmas CD - All Wrapped Up" by the a cappella group Vocaluptuous took place on 29th Oct 2003 at the residence (Eden Hall) of the British High Commissioner, HE Allan Collins.

The launch was marked by President Tay Wei Lian, with the opening of a backdrop depicting the collaboration between RCSW, Vocaluptuous, Myx Studios and the British High Commissioner in aid of The Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD) and other beneficiaries. The house was brought down by a rendition of songs which included "Joy to the World" by our a cappella singers. Special guests were the residents from SPD and "Captains" of British companies in Singapore. The "Captains" were urged by HE Allan Collins to take up the CD's in bulk or risk not being invited to Eden Hall again! Even the Gurkha guards were on hand to ensure that all left with a CD in hand!!!

Special presentation of albums were made by the residents of SPD to PDG Geok Tian for the purchase of the first 1000 CDs, HE Allan Collins for hosting the event, PDG Tan Sri Tay Teck Eng (who was the 1st President of SPD) on behalf RCSW, for envisioning the project to all parties and lastly to Vocaluptuous.
