A Century of Service:
The Official Story of Rotary International

As the Rotary Centennial approaches, Rotarians can look forward to a new RI publication, A Century of Service: The Story of Rotary International. The official book of the Rotary Centennial was released in English at the International Assembly in early 2004, to be followed by its release in other official Rotary languages by 1st July 2004. The 384 page volume features a wealth of Rotary facts, figures, and trivia as well as never before published photographs. Those who pre order the book (publication number 913-EN) by 31st March will receive a free CD. The book will also be available for purchase at the RI Convention in Osaka. It can also be ordered via a faxable order form or by contacting the Publication Order Services or your nearest Rotary International office.

RCSW will stay in Grand Copthorne for 2 years

A total of 28 survey forms were received and the following was revealed:
1. 17 members were reasonably satisfied with Grand Copthorne's venue, food quality and service.
2. 19 members were
NOT prepared to pay $31.
3. 23 members preferred a less elaborate menu ie $26.

5. Other venues suggested by members include:    (a) Swissotel at Raffles City,  (b) Jurong Country Club,  (c) Raffles Town Club,  (d) The Pines

From the survey, it was concluded that there was an obvious preference for most members to remain in the same hotel but at a lower price.

In view of the above, PE KK Tan proceeded and has managed to secure a lunch package from Grand Copthorne for $25 nett per person for a minimum of 25 persons.  The lunch includes 3 items for the cold selection, 1 soup, 4 hot and 3 dessert items. Other benefits include complimentary use of rostrum with microphone, use of overhead or slide projector, whiteboard, flipchart, etc.
