"Cat in the Hat"  .......  a synopsis
Conrad and Sally Walden (Spencer Breslin and Dakota Fanning) are home alone with their pet fish. It is raining outside, and there is nothing to do. Until The Cat in the Hat (Mike Myers) walks in the front door. He introduces them to their imagination, and at first it's all fun and games, until things get out of hand, and The Cat must go, go, go, before their parents get back.
Director: Bo Welch ,  Genre: Family / Adventure,  Rating: PG

A Special Birthday Tribute to Tan Sri Dr Tay Teck Eng

In recognition of his long and dedicated service to Rotary International and to our Club and District, RCSW will be organizing a birthday party to celebrate Tan Sri Dr Tay Teck Eng's 90th birthday. For a Rotarian who has given 50 years of his life to Rotary (he became a Rotarian in 1954, before some of us were even born!) and in the process bringing much distinction to our Club, this is the least, in our humble opinion, we as members can do for our illustrious PDG.  This celebration will take place on:

Date Saturday, 17th April 2004
Time 7.00pm
Venue Hotel New Otani, Taikan-En Room
Dress Smart Casual
Cost S$40.00 nett per head.  Payable to hotel at the door.
Menu International Buffet

We would be delighted if you and your wife could join us for that evening.   The Board of Directors has also approved the contribution from Club funds of a PHF in PDG Tan Sri Dr Tay Teck Eng's name to be earmarked for a Rotary project of his choice.

President Tay Wei Lien, on behalf of his father, has asked members not to present gifts or Hong Baos. You and your wife's presence to help celebrate the occasion is all that is needed. However, if you wish to make a donation, you can do so to the same Rotary project earmarked for PDG Tan Sri Dr Tay Teck Eng's PHF. A collection box will be made available during the party.  Contributions are strictly on a voluntary basis.

Please let
me know if you and your wife are able to attend this important party. I hope you will and I look forward to speaking with each of you. Thank you for your support.

Yours in Rotary,
Leong How,  Organizing Committee
