Every Rotary Term,
the Rotary Club of
Singapore-West will identify
one or several beneficiaries to support as its major charitable project
for the year.
Our fund raising drive this year includes
the sale of Christmas CD's "All Wrapped Up" by the a cappella group "Vocaluptuous",
a charity golf tournament as well as a charity bike ride from Malacca to
Singapore. |

Our RCSW Major
Project Charity Dinner Finale will take place on
Friday, 23rd April 2004.
at the Raffles Country Club from 7 - 10pm.

Please note
that this event will replace our luncheon on Thursday 22nd.
Hence there will be no meeting on Thursday 22nd April. |

The
specially recorded Christmas CD "All Wrapped Up" by a cappella group,
VOCALUPTUOUS was launched to raise S$73,000 for the purchase of a
specially fitted wheelchair mover for SPD. This is a joint effort by
RCSW, Vocaluptuous and The British High Commission. |

The
Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) is a non-profit organization with a
vision of increasing awareness of the disease to all levels of society
in Singapore, promoting its early detection and encouraging early
treatment. The BCF works closely with community organizations and
workplaces to forward its programme. |

This
is the second year we are supporting the Singapore Cancer Society's
cause to raise S$25,000 for their free colorectal cancer screening
programme on a nationwide level. |
|
A
non-profit organization providing free assistance, advice and
counseling services related to fertility and pregnancy. The S$30,000
fund raised will be used to promote awareness of declining fertility
to the public. |

This
clinic in Choa Chu Kang provides free Traditional Chinese Medical
treatment for the needy. The sum of S$30,000 will help fund their new
clinic at Teck Whye Lane with bigger and better facilities. |

The
RFSC mission is to promote the social well being of the family as a
whole. Its aim is to serve, assist and support families in need. It
works closely with other community and government agencies in job
matching and rendering of financial aid. |
