"  RCSW raises S$170,000
 for its Major Project"

RCSW authors another chapter in its 43 year history by raising S$170,000 in aid of the Society for the Physically Disabled, Breast Cancer Foundation, Singapore Cancer Society, ALIFE, Kang Min Free Clinic and Rotary Family Service Centre. The funds were raised via the sale of CD's by the a cappella group "Vocaluptuous", a Charity Golf Tournament and a charity bike ride from Malacca to Singapore by our PN Pieter Van Putten.

Despite the inclement weather, the afternoon golf outing saw about 90 golfers pitting their skills against one another not only for a day of healthy competition and enjoyment, but more so for a noble cause of of helping the less fortunate.

Our charity bike riders, PN* Pieter Van Putten and his friend "Joop" arrived from Malacca with good timing, at the Raffles Country Club at about 7.30pm with support vehicle driven by President Tay Wei Lien, accompanied by friend Daniel Boen. Congra-tulations Pieter !!!
More interesting excerpts in the next issue ....

In his speech, President Tay Wei Lien emphasized that it was heartening to see so many coming forward to do their bit for the less fortunate and the disadvantaged especially in this difficult time. To all our major sponsors, corporate and individual donors, golfers, cyclists and artistes who have given generously of their time and money to make this day a success,  Thank You Very Much.
