Our History
Ted de Ponti Scholarships Welcome
Andrew & Cannis
Michael & Lorna

RCSW's Family of Rotary "Cooking Challenge" saw family and friends of RCSWians pitting their cooking skills against each other. A night of friendly competition proved to be an evening of good clean fun, and of course betting backbenchers and onlookers cheering them on. Participants walked away with prizes just for participating: hampers courtesy of Khong Guan Biscuit, vouchers from New Otani Hotel and a top prize of a microwave oven courtesy of Diethelm. Our sincere thanks also to Director Yoshi San, Chief Chef Gilbert and New Otani Hotel for all the logistical support. Our appreciation also to the participants, judges and members of the organizing committee for making this possible.  Some of the highlights include:

RCSW was also treated to a history presentation by Senior Rotarian PP Khoo Chong Yew. PP Khoo highlighted the the history of Rotary and RCSW with many interesting pictures and anecdotes. A real treat to the many 'young' Rotarians who joined in the 90's and in the new millennium. Many of us had hair which was still black then !!!   THANK YOU PP KHOO !

CONGRATULATIONS
Ted de Ponti Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to: Mr. Sim Junyi, School of Computing, NUS. Mr. Yong Hong Chau, School of Enginee-ring, NTU. Mr. Li Xiaohui, School of Engineering, Singa-pore Polytechnic.

The evening meeting of 13th May saw 3 deserving recipients of the the Ted de Ponti scholarship awards. The awards were made possible when PP Ted de Ponti (64-65) willed a sum of S$250,000 to RCSW to set a scholarship fund for tertiary students of NUS, NTU and Singapore Polytechnic.
For the benefit of our recipients and RCSWians, a slide presentation and brief history of PP Ted de Ponti was presented by editor Denis Tan. The selection committee consisted of Director Yoshi, Director Perry and editor Denis Tan.
