Message from President

Dear Members,

Re: PHF matching grant project with RC Dhonburi

RC Singapore West has agreed to support RC Dhonburi with its “Satellite TV” project to raise funds to purchase satellite TVs for poor and remote villages in the Thai countryside. The equipment consists of satellite dishes, decoder receivers, television sets and related equipment.  Plans are to donate a total of 40 sets to different villages.  This project is a matching grant PHF project, with three of Dhonburi’s sister clubs involved – RC Yahata in Japan, RC Pusan-Gudeok in Korea and RCWS.

We have committed 3 PHFs for this meaningful project.  I would like to appeal for 2 more members who are not Paul Harris Fellow yet, or whose PHF donation has been quite a while ago, to come forward and support this cause.  Similar to our other matching grant project, you as the donor will know where the funds are going, and you can actually join a visit to Dhonburi later in the year for the handover ceremony.

Pieter Van Putten

PS. Our newest member, Rtn Alan Koh has graciously agreed to commit to a PHF for this effort
