About the Speaker:
Our speaker is
Mr. Brian James Tracey,
B.S.K., B.Sc.A.T.,
Podiatric Sports Medicine
formerly of MONARCH MEDICA
in Singapore, is a Sports Physiotherapist and Kinesiologist originally
from Canada, specializing in foot problems.
Mr.
Tracey has experience with Elite Amateur and Professional Sports Teams
on a National and International level, having served the Canadian
National Cycling Team, the Canadian National Weightlifting Team, as a
Medical Director for the Pan American Masters Weightlifting
Championships, was the Medical Education Director at Iizuna Kogen,
Japan, in preparation for the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics; and was the
official Podiatric Specialist for the 2001/2002 Singapore International
Marathon and the 2002 SAFRA Biathlon. Brian was the Director of Sportiv
Tech-Lab Pte Ltd, winner of the 2003 E-Global Emerging Enterprise Award,
responsible for the design of Military / School footwear, and was the
Chairman (Events) for the NYAAC ‘Singapore Mile’. He has also been the
Product Ambassador for Clarks, Scholl, ASICS, New Balance and Tempur
orthopaedic products. He has been featured on the # 1 late night
television show “Love Airways” with Dr. Wei S.Y a.k.a “Dr. Love”.
He has
given medical seminars/ consultations to The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF),
SAFRA; Health Promotion Board; Singapore Medical Association (GP’s); The
Singapore Student Health Services; National Institute of Health (SGH);
Ministry of Education; Medical Advisory Board - ‘Health Today’;
