Our
current contract with Grand Copthorne Hotel expires at the end of this
month. In view of Grand Copthorne raising the price for the buffet
lunch, In-coming President Gary and PE Chuen scouted around for
alternative venues for our meeting. From a shortlist of 3 locations
i.e., The Pines, Novotel Clarke Quay (former Otani) and SICC, the Board
of Directors has unanimously agreed to go for The Pines (the cost for
the lunch remains at $25 per head).
Our first
meeting at The Pines will be on 6th July where President Gary
is scheduled to make his opening address for the new Rotary Year. More
details for the location will be provided in next week’s bulletin.
Please
take note that tomorrow’s meeting has been
CANCELLED. However,
Out-going President Pieter has generously volunteered to host dinner at
the Hollandse Club tomorrow night. Please let him know by today if you
and your spouse are attending the dinner.
