Message from District Governor

Dear Rotarians,

Welcome to the new Rotary Year. New season usually symbolizes new beginning, renewed interest and new hope. Each year’s leadership team will come with new vigor and enthusiasm bringing with them new plans and programs for the coming year. This keeps Rotary active and dynamic. As we learn from our past, we become wiser and confident when we step into the future.

The Internet is a powerful tool for dissemination of information. Through our Rotary District 3310 web site and our electronic newsletter in the web, we can receive plenty of Rotary knowledge,  and news on activities by our clubs in our district and around the world. I hope through this web site, our interest in Rotary will re-ignite and grow, and our members become more involved in our various Rotary activities.

Our web site can also be a very useful media for communications among Rotarians and serve as a forum for sharing of thoughts as well as building and bonding of relationship. I encourage our Rotarians to give your feedbacks and comments to our District Web coordinators, on the issues in the web site and contribute articles of how Rotary has impacted your lives and those whom you are serving in your communities. Do send them happenings of your club activities.

While acknowledging the power and convenience of electronic communications, we should however never use it to replace the physical coming together of Rotarians for fellowship and serving together in partnership for the less fortunate in the community.

The combined use of electronic communications and face-to-face fellowship and partnership will truly enable us to “Lead the Way” to live out Rotary and help to make this world a better place.

Yours in Rotary

Dr Wu Dar Ching

District Governor 2006-2007
